Ethan McCloskey (b. 1999) is a Poet / Writer from Co. Donegal Ireland. 

He try's to put words into a form of reality, to make you feel that emotion that he wrote about, his writing is often times crude and sometimes raw to read.

 

As he says he's more of a Poet than an Author. He is not very good at speaking but he is good at what he writes.

He hopes in the way that he wrote them, it could be relatable to you all in some way.
Writing is a very difficult task to him, as he has dyslexia, but he loves writing poetry and or writing in general.

His writing is inspired by people from the past, from the poems of Charles Bukowski, the the works of Mark Twain, he began liking writing at a young age, he started in secondary school writing quotes from people famous like Martin Luther King, Gandhi, Mother Teresia, etc. and many other people.

​

He then once finished school started a website in November 2020 during the height of the Covid, he did this to share first his poetry, then work that he thinks could help people and lastly short stories.

 

He published his first book on 1 May 2022 on amazon called (Finding The First Word.) It was a poetry book that held 50 poems, the first 50 poems he ever published to his website.

​

He also on 29 Jun. 2022 he released a story book called (One Unfortunate Meeting.) that also held all poetry, his goal with this one was to see how quick he could create a book off amazon, so, he started on the first of June then released it on the twenty ninth.

​

That lead onto his first Novel called (A Friend Never Forgotten.) This was the first thing he ever wrote he started writing this at age 17, he published this on the 10 Nov. 2022.

​

Ethan then decided then to write about an interest he had which was Irish Gods and Deities, Ethan had an interest in the deities as he loves finding out the truth behind a story, he published it on June 18, 2023

​

Next was the book Gaelic Tales: A Collection of Short Stories, he wanted to make another book that held short stories that had no corelations to one another, but wanted to have a collection of one off stories, this was published on November 30, 2023
