Swan.

Updated: May 9, 2024

A swan lies on an autumn river,

As leaves blow by that would make any man shiver,

Yet still, it lay there soaking up the sunlight,

To see one is quite a sight,

The water glimmers of its feathers,

As it does in any weather,

Truly they are wonderful things,

Spreading its majestic wings,

Floating to the bank,

To get away from the water that it drank,

But it runs back to the water in the distance,

Well, you can say it’s anything but persistent.
