On a couch you fell asleep,

Resting your head upon my shoulder.

In response, I muted the TV's chatter,

And nestled my head beside yours.

Closing my eyes,

Holding one another,

Knowing that we will never give up on each other,

No matter the weather, stormy or fair,

Together, we stand, a steadfast as a pair.
