Mid-Night

Updated: May 8, 2024

Dozing off on a chair,

In the darkness of night,

With no one there,

Leaning my head off to the right,

Hearing nothing only my faint breath,

My body went limp,

Next to the hearth,

Suddenly a faint whimper,

Jolting up hearing my name,

Thinking am I that insane,

Feeling life in me again,

Realizing then, That was only my brain,

Playing tricks on me again.
