The Mother.

Updated: May 8, 2024

To the mother of all the world,

And to all humankind,

As a baby, you cradled us from the world,

We all have been created in your own design,

Seeing us grow through childhood,

Maturing in our own way,

Remembering our first steps and where we stood,

Wishing those moments would stay,

Us now in our teens,

Too proud for any other,

Angry to all it seems,

Except for our mother,

Excepting us for all our faults,

God knows there's plenty,

And all the times we thought bad thoughts,

She forgave us through the many and few,

But as we got older,

We never forgot our mother

the one who brought us all together,

All fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers.
